In May 2023 we received the keys to our paradise and have been making everything more beautiful ever since. We are both still too young to stop and that is why we are in the house less than we would like. We have no children and are the owners of a company that is active in the catering industry. As a result, we are not tied to holiday periods and we often go to our house out of season.
This gives us the opportunity to rent the house during other periods. The house is ideal for people who like peace and quiet. The house is located among olive groves and is 1 km outside the center of Montegrazie. An oasis of peace, yet only 15 minutes by car from Imperia and the sea. Monaco and Nice are an hour and a quarter drive from the house. An ideal base for a beautiful trip along the Italian and French Riviera.
The house is located at an altitude of 348 m and therefore always has a cooling breeze in the summer. In the spring, the temperature - due to its location close to the sea - is wonderfully pleasant early on and remains that way well into the autumn.
We have been going to Liguria in January for years. If the sun shines during the day, you can quickly take off the jacket.
The swimming pool was completed in March 2024 and we have enjoyed floating many times, looking over the "skyline" of Imperia. The house will be air-conditioned in January 2025.
Imperia has a Mediterranean climate, with warm summer months and cool, but rarely really cold winters. The Ligurian Sea and its location behind the Apennines have an important influence on the city's climate. The influence of the Ligurian Sea ensures that temperatures in Imperia are moderated throughout the year. The winter months are slightly less cold and the summers less warm. The temperatures in the summer months are very pleasant, with an average daily temperature of twenty-seven degrees Celsius. Due to its location behind the Apennines, the city is protected from cold winds from the north and east.
